NASP is pleased to shine the Spotlight this week on UNC Health Shared Services Center Retail Pharmacy, the second corporate member to be featured in the month of June.

UNC Health is a not-for-profit integrated health care system owned by the state of North Carolina and based in Chapel Hill comprised of UNC Hospitals and its provider network, the clinical programs of the UNC School of Medicine, and eighteen hospital campuses statewide. The UNC Health Shared Services Retail Pharmacy is an integrated health-system specialty pharmacy serving patients in North Carolina and Virginia, dispensing over 22,000 prescriptions each month.

In 2021, UNC Health won an ASHP Best Practice Award for a Pharmacist-Led Program Leading to Safe and Efficient Outpatient Initiation of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
