Temporary Pharmacist – The University of Michigan Student Health Service Pharmacy
The University of Michigan Student Health Service Pharmacy is looking for a temporary pharmacist to cover a staff absence. This ‘closed’ pharmacy only services students and staff of the University of Michigan. Our #1 clientele are the students! We do all we can to keep our patients happy and healthy throughout their tenure as a student at this University.
The timeframe and hours are excellent. The candidate will start around the second week of August and work through at least the third week of September; however, this is subject to change. This will provide the selected candidate two weeks to learn QS1, meet the staff, and to train. The pharmacy is only open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm during the summer. No nights or weekends.
Responsibilities include checking prescriptions for accuracy, filling, ordering, and lots of counseling. It is a very rewarding and fun job that deals with young people and educating them on how to take their medication. We have a large population of international students that are new to American healthcare and need lots of compassion in their mission on campus with various health issues (illness, depression, etc.)
