He/She will look to expand, launch, and grow MHA’s specialty data programs in the ever evolving and competitive GPO spaces. Contract Pharmacist, Nevada Health Authority, Remote

The Contract Pharmacist will perform clinical reviews of medical and outpatient clinical and
pharmacy utilization management criteria and cases using their clinical acumen and taking into
consideration program policies and state and federal regulations. They will assist with drug prior
authorization (PA) exception requests, appeals reviews, develop policies based upon clinical
guidelines, and conduct audits of the Medicaid pharmacy benefit across Fee-for-Service and
Managed Care Organizations (MCO). The Contract Pharmacist may be required to testify at
applicable appeals hearings, evaluate offsetting costs and advise on rebate program changes,
assist in the administration of the pharmacy benefit, and utilize shifts in utilization to recommend
changes to benefit design.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee specialty pharmacy operations, manage accreditation requirements (URAC, BOP, ACHC), and ensure compliance with all regulatory and payer standards.
