The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and regulatory compliance of a specialty mail-order pharmacy operation. This role oversees dispensing workflows, patient service, inventory and cold-chain processes, quality assurance, and team performance to ensure safe, timely, and accurate delivery of specialty medications. The PIC partners cross-functionally with clinicians, reimbursement teams, logistics, and vendors to optimize patient outcomes and operational excellence.
