Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist/Associate Director, Specialty Pharmacy Services

The Associate Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services is responsible for assuring oversight, operations coordination, quality and cost effectiveness of pharmacy services provided by specialty pharmacy programs. This position directs assistant directors, coordinators and support personnel and works with them to assure optimal outcomes and works closely with the Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services in developing the strategic direction for the specialty pharmacy. The candidate for this position will be expected to identify and lead the development, implementation, monitoring and process improvement of new and current programs, including the application and refinement of the pharmacy practice model and oversee the quality and outcomes programs required to maintain Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) and Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) specialty pharmacy accreditation requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for completing other duties as assigned, including forecasting and creating the annual operating and personnel budgets, and optimizing reimbursement.

Clinical Specialist (Pharmacist), Mass General Brigham, Somerville, MA

Mass General’s Clinical Specialists provide medication management through an evaluation of medications for patients to ensure safe, effective utilization that is tailored to specific medical conditions. Work with patients, providers, nurses, and other health care professionals to provide access to specialty medications and ensure optimal patient outcomes. We approach patient care as a team and support each other as needed or directed to ensure the necessary patient care responsibilities are completed each day. This role is an exempt position with the potential for a hybrid on-site/work from home work model.
