PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Practice Residency, Walgreens and the University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA

This residency program prepares community pharmacists to become advanced practice leaders and provide patient-centered care. This will be attained by the resident through advanced training at various exemplary specialty pharmacy settings. ||The residency is based at a unique Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy locations.  These pharmacies offer a variety of patient-centered services for complex diseases/conditions such as organ transplantation, HIV, oncology, CID, Hepatitis C and other chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and cardiovascular disease where the pharmacists work closely with the healthcare providers as a team. This specialty location also offers hospital bedside delivery for discharge medications, compounding, immunizations, educating and mentoring pharmacy students.  This program also includes experiences at Walgreens Specialty Clinic at Community, one HIV centered and hazardous compounding location, district and corporate offices, and UCSF outpatient clinics to provide additional patient care experience during each module.

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy Fellowship Program, PANTHERx Rare, Pittsburg, PA

The PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy Fellowship Program offers a unique and distinctive opportunity to interface with patients, healthcare providers, health plans and manufacturers to effectively optimize patient outcomes. Completion of this program will result in a highly knowledgeable pharmacist competent in both clinical and business aspects of rare pharmacy management.

Our fellows will have opportunities to work in the areas of Business & Pharmacy Operations, Quality Improvement & Clinical Education, Pharmacy Analytics & Reporting, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, & Managed Markets.
