The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy is pleased to announce a webinar presented by Tennr, titled “Breaking Bottlenecks: How Specialty Pharmacies Can Tackle Multi-Benefit Complexity with Specialized Language Models.” PBMs have spent decades streamlining benefits verification and prior authorizations; however, the next wave of specialty therapies is increasingly being launched as covered under the medical benefit. Workflows for high-cost infused and office-administered drugs still include faxes, PDFs, phone calls, and manual work to interpret coverage and reimbursement policies, J-codes, and contracts.

The greatest opportunity for growth can’t be staff or physical capacity expansion to accommodate these manual workflows; it must be redesigning the process. This session will explore how specialty pharmacies can identify and eliminate process bottlenecks to accelerate rx-to-dispense time and give patients faster access to new therapies.

We’ll discuss practical strategies for reengineering workflows, from referral intake and benefits investigations to medical policy review and prior auths, across both medical and pharmacy benefits, to reduce delays and improve staff and patient experience.
