Beginning January 1, 2026, CMS launches the new Medicare Transaction Facilitator (MTF) claims transmission and payment support system. This system creates a new, additional pharmacy payment pathway for the 10 Medicare-negotiated drugs, ensuring manufacturers reimburse specialty pharmacies for the difference between acquisition cost and the Medicare-negotiated Maximum Fair Price (MFP).
