NASP Urges Participation in the 2023 SPCB Job Analysis Survey

Feb 07, 2023 · NASP News

The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) is urging its members and all industry stakeholders to take part in the newly released Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board (SPCB) Job Analysis Survey.

SPCB is conducting a job analysis study to identify and accurately describe the roles and responsibilities of specialty pharmacists. When complete, the job analysis study results will be used to create specifications, validate the content, and update the Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) examination outline.

The intent of this study is to ascertain, directly from practicing professionals, the frequency with which prerequisite knowledge is applied in practice and the importance or criticality of this knowledge in specialty pharmacy practice.

To participate in this study, please complete the survey at this link.  Responses are accepted until Friday, March 3. A robust response is needed to effectively complete the study. Industry stakeholders are urged to share this link with the practicing specialty pharmacists in their organization and networks.

Responses to the survey are anonymous. However, to show appreciation for completing the survey, each respondent who provides their name and email address will be entered into a drawing for one full conference registration to the NASP Annual Meeting & Expo, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, September 18-21, 2023.

This is a unique opportunity to provide input for what will become a defining document for the specialty pharmacy industry. Robust participation will help ensure that the CSP program will continue to validate relevant knowledge, experience, and competence required for quality patient care.

A summary report and analysis of the survey results, as well as the updated CSP examination outline, will be published on the Certification section of the NASP website in late spring.
