Robert (Rob) Nace is a licensed pharmacist in multiple states and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, now part of St. Joseph University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Rob began his pharmacy career in direct patient care as a staff pharmacist and pharmacy manager with CVS Pharmacy and Jordan-Reses Prescription Center. Next, Rob led the Clinical Indexing Services team at the Institute for Scientific Information, now Thomson Scientific where he and his team worked with pharmaceutical manufacturers to provide clinical abstracts and information from scientific publications across the world.
Rob spent 10 years with Express Scripts, Inc., now part of Cigna, in various roles ranging from pharmacy operations to clinical client management. While at ESI, Rob developed and launched one of the first work-from-home programs for pharmacists in the United States as well as led a corporate project to ensure readiness for launch of Medicare Part D. After ESI, Rob spent two years with Pharmerica, Inc. leading long-term care pharmacy operations in the northeast.
In 2013, Rob began to work with Catamaran Rx and spent 9 years in multiple roles. During his time with Catamaran Rx, and ultimately OptumRx, Rob led clinical consulting teams focused on formulary and utilization management development. Rob moved into the specialty pharmacy division, BriovaRx, in 2015 leading client engagement, clinical programs and industry relations. During this time, Rob was an integral part of the acquisition of Avella and Diplomat specialty pharmacies.
Currently, Rob is Head of Channel Strategy for UCB, Inc. In his role, he is responsible for the enterprise specialty pharmacy and distribution strategy with the primary objective of ensuring patients have appropriate access to UCB’s portfolio of medications.
Rob lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife, Angela, and their three daughters, Olivia, Bianca and Amelia.
