Reed Kalna is a Director of Outpatient Pharmacy with Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center in the Northern California Golden Gate Service Area. In this leadership role, Reed provides administrative, clinical, and strategic guidance to ensure collaboration among all stakeholders to deliver on quality, service, and affordability measures. His leadership and clinical journey over the past 15 years also includes CVS, Walgreens Specialty, with disease state focus in Pediatrics, Oncology, Transplant, Virology, and Labor and Delivery/ Infertility, as well as extensive Limited Distribution Drug experience. Reed earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and is a Certified Specialty Pharmacist and California Board of Pharmacy certified Advanced Practice Pharmacist. Outside of Kaiser Permanente, Reed professionally passionately serves Leadership for the California Association of Healthcare Leaders as the Lead Mentor Liaison and Pharmacy Education as Associate Clinical Professor for the University of California, San Francisco, School of Pharmacy. Reed also is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Chairman of the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board. Socially, Reed enjoys spending time with family, rugby, guitar, traveling, beaches, and exercising.
