Kathy has been a registered nurse for 35 years with clinical experience in emergency room nursing, critical care nursing, and infusion nursing.

Kathy was co- founder of HomeChoice Partners, Inc.  in 1996 located in Norfolk VA.  As the Vice President of Clinical Services, and secretary of the board, the organization had a dedicated multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals providing high quality infusion therapy in the home and ambulatory infusions suites throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The organization had 14 branch locations servicing over 15,000 patients annually.

Kathy joined Smiths Medical in 2015. She is the clinical manager of the home infusion and pharmacy services teams. Kathy is responsible for the oversight of professional services for her teams, building customer relationships internally and externally, providing innovative solutions and service excellence. Kathy is well known in the home infusion industry as a nursing expert as she is active in INS, NHIA, and IgNS.  Kathy’s mission is to provide the best customer service and the best educational experience to clinicians.

Kathy currently is the Board Chair for the Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation, (INCC), the Director of Nursing for the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board, (SPCB), serves on the education committee for IgNS, nomination committee member for Infusion Nurses Society (INS), is a journal reviewer for the Infusion Standards of Practice, journal reviewer for the Journal of Infusion Nursing.  In the past, Kathy served on the Infusion Nurses Society Board of Directors from 2011-2014, She was the board President from 2012-2013.  In addition, Kathy was on the Infusion Nursing Certifications RN council as an expert in question development and evaluation of the CRNI®(certified registered nurse infusion) from 2003-2011. 

Kathy is a published author in the Journal of Infusion Nursing, Infusion Magazine, INCC Chronicle, the National Student Nurses Association and Policies and Procedures in Home Infusion Therapy.  In addition, she has authored numerous continuous education programs and has spoken nationally.
