Why is the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo being canceled?
NASP leadership has continued to closely monitor updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as what is taking place in our communities across the country since the pandemic began. Due to the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases throughout the U.S., the potential risks to those who are vaccinated and those who aren’t, not only to our guests but also their families and the communities they will travel home to, the increasing numbers of organizations re-instituting travel bans, and the shortage of hospital staff and critical and intensive care beds and the impacts of all of these factors on our ability to ensure your health and safety while delivering the NASP 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo experience that you deserve and have come to expect, we had no choice but to make the necessary and responsible decision to cancel the conference. Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our members, attendees, staff, families, healthcare workers, and ultimately our communities is always our highest priority. It was a heartbreaking and incredibly difficult decision, but put simply, is it the right thing to do during this unprecedented time.
Will the NASP 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo be conducted as a virtual conference?
NASP will not offer a virtual conference for 2021. However, NASP will offer some of the presentations via webinars in the coming months. More information will be available soon as plans are solidified.
Will my registration fee be transferred to 2022 or will it be refunded?
If you are registered to attend the NASP 2021 Annual Meeting & Expo, we are happy to seamlessly transfer your registration to the NASP 2022 Annual Meeting & Expo to be held September 19-22 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando. Choosing to transfer your registration not only reserves your place in NASP history as we celebrate our 10th anniversary but ensures you will lock in 2021 rates. However, if you prefer a full refund, credits will be issued no later than October 15 in the same method of payment in which registration fees were received — either credit card, debit card, or check. If you wish to receive a refund, please click here and provide the requested information by September 15, If you are not requesting a refund there is nothing more for you to do. We will take care of the rest and you will receive an updated confirmation.
Are all ancillary and affiliated events associated with 2021 NASP canceled?
All ancillary and affiliated events are canceled. Individuals scheduled to attend the Cruise on the Potomac will receive a full refund. If you paid by credit or debit card, your funds will be automatically credited to the card on file. If you paid by check, you will receive a check for the full amount.
I registered for the Women in Specialty Pharmacy Luncheon. Will my registration be transferred to 2022 or refunded?
If you registered for the Women in Specialty Pharmacy Luncheon and transfer your registration to 2022, the Luncheon will be transferred, too. If you request a refund for your registration, the Luncheon will also be refunded.
How will my refund be issued?
Registered participants wishing to receive a refund will receive it in the same manner in which you paid when you registered. All refunds will be issued no later than October 15.
Do I need to cancel my hotel room?
If you made your reservation at the Marriott Marquis through the NASP housing portal, your hotel room will automatically be canceled. You do not need to do anything, and you will NOT be charged for the one-night deposit. If you booked a room outside the NASP block or did not book through the official NASP hotel portal, you must contact your hotel directly and cancel your reservations. If you did not book though the official NASP hotel portal or booked a hotel other than the Marriott Marquis, NASP will not issue refunds for cancellations.
Will my airfare be refunded?
NASP will not refund individual airline ticket costs. Please contact your travel agent or the airline directly regarding ticket cancellations and refund policies. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps. Most airlines are waiving travel change fees.
Can we use our 2021 corporate membership complimentary pass(es) for the NASP 2022 Annual Meeting & Expo?
Yes, your 2021 comps can be used for the NASP 2022 Annual Meeting & Expo.
Will you still present the industry awards and the scholarship awards?
Yes, NASP will present the 2021 industry awards and scholarship awards. The awards and scholarships will be presented via a webinar and the date will be announced soon.
What will you do with the abstracts that were selected for presentation?
Accepted abstracts will be published in an upcoming supplement of the Journal of Drug Assessment. Authors have already been notified of their acceptance. Future plans for sharing the presentations will be communicated as soon as they are finalized.
May I transfer my sponsorship and/or exhibit booth fees to the NASP 2022 Annual Meeting & Expo? Or can I request a refund?
We hope you will transfer your funds to the NASP 2022 Annual Meeting & Expo to be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, FL, September 19-22, 2022. Transferring your fees not only ensures you will lock in 2021 rates but reserves your place in NASP history. NASP will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary and the brainstorming has already begun! We have many exciting events and surprises planned which is sure to make this conference the biggest and most exciting to date. You do not want to miss this landmark NASP event! However, if you prefer, a full refund will be issued. NASP and Meeting Management Associates (MMA) will be contacting all sponsors and exhibitors to determine your preference and either seamlessly transfer your fees to 2022 or issue a refund.

How will my Advance to Warehouse freight be returned?
Freeman, the official general contractor, will work with each company to return all freight to the sender. We are working closely with Freeman to minimize any general contractor handling costs. All shipping/freight charges will be the responsibility of the sender.
How do I get refunded for the services I ordered through the General Service Contractor?
