Michael Duteau, RPh

Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Affairs for KPH Healthcare Services, Inc.

Mike reports directly to the CEO of KPH Healthcare Services, which includes the Kinney Drug Stores, Health Direct long term care division, ProAct Pharmacy Benefit Management and mail order services as well as Noble Specialty Health Services. Mike is responsible for developing innovative healthcare programs that increase access to important pharmacy services, improve patient health outcomes, generate revenue, and achieve financial sustainability. He also works closely with state and federal legislative leadership and regulatory agencies to advance the profession of pharmacy as well as implement initiatives designed to positively transform how patient care is delivered. Additionally, Mike acts as Corporate HIPAA Privacy Officer for KPH Healthcare Services.

Mike joined Kinney Drugs as a Regional Pharmacy Manager in 2005 and was promoted to the position of Director of Pharmacy Operations in 2006. He was named Vice President of Pharmacy Operations in 2011, where he maintained oversight responsibilities for Pharmacy Store Operations, Pharmacy Technology and Retail Clinical initiatives. In 2014 Mike received the Quest for Excellence Award, given to one employee who most positively impacts the success of the company as well as the care of the patients and communities that KPH serves.

External to KPH, Mike serves on Policy Council for the National Association of Drugs Stores. He is also a member and past Chairman of the New York State Board of Pharmacy and the current President of the Chain Pharmacy Association of New York State as well as the Vermont Association of Chain Drugstores. Mike proudly serves his alma mater, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, as a member of their Board of Trustees. Finally, Mike was also the recipient of the 2016 New York State Bowl of Hygeia Award and the 2016 Excellence in Healthcare Pharmacist of the Year award.
