Elizabeth Duruz is a Regional Clinical Pharmacist with Optum. She is involved with providing clinical pharmacy guidance on upcoming medication releases, treatment guidelines, and developing and maintaining pharmacy program such as formulary lists, drug utilization review, health outcomes, and other specialty programs.
She has been a pharmacist for twenty years with experience including hospital, long-term care, and mail order pharmacy.
Elizabeth has eleven years of experience in specialty pharmacy. During this time she has gained knowledge in hereditary angioedema (HAE), hemophilia, Alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency, intravenous and subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (both neuro and PIDD diagnoses), as well as other medications used to treat rare conditions.
Ms. Duruz received her Bachelor in Business Administration degree from University of Cincinnati in 1992 where she majored in Marketing. In 2000, Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from University of Cincinnati. In April 2016, she obtained her Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) credentials. Elizabeth currently serves on the Pharmacist Steering Committee for IgNS and is a board member for Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board (SPCB). She earned the IgCP credentials in May 2020 from IgNS.
