Distinguished Service Award

Description:

This NASP award is given to the individual who has made a sustained contribution to leadership within NASP.

Criteria:

The nominee must be a current annual dues NASP member.

Nomination Process:

Individuals must be nominated by an active NASP member. The nomination must include a statement not to exceed 500 words that describes why the individual merits the award. The statement should include a description of the nonfinancial contributions of the nominee both to NASP and to the Specialty Pharmacy industry that underscore their merits for consideration. The nomination must be supported by 2 additional NASP members.

Send all nominations to: awards@naspnet.org by July 18, 2017.

Selection Process:

All nominations are submitted to the Membership Committee by the established deadline. The Membership Committee will review all nominations and score them based on their merits. The top 3 scores will be forwarded to the Board of Directors, where a finalist will be chosen.

Award:

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented at the NASP Opening General Session at the NASP Annual Meeting. The award itself will consist of a Crystal trophy, complimentary Annual Meeting registration for all finalists, and up to $500 in travel expense reimbursement for the winner.
Additionally, the winner will participate in all the benefits of recognition on the NASP website, as well as special bulletins that will be sent out announcing the finalists and the winner.


Specialty Pharmacy of the Year Award

Description:

This NASP award is given to the Specialty Pharmacy that embodies the practice of Pharmacy in the field of Specialty.

Criteria:

The nominated pharmacy must be a current annual dues NASP member.

Nomination Process:

The Specialty Pharmacy of the Year must be nominated by an active NASP member. The nomination must include a statement describing the merits of the nominated organization based on community involvement, patient satisfaction, cost management, quality/performance improvement initiatives, and innovation in the field of Specialty Pharmacy, which includes patient care and outcomes, disease state and therapy management, and patient engagement. The statement should not exceed 2500 words in total or 500 words per category.

Selection Process:

All nominations are submitted to the Membership Committee by the established deadline. The Membership Committee will review all nominations and score them based on their merits. The top 3 scores will be forwarded to the Board of Directors, where a finalist will be chosen.

Scoring is as follows:

Innovation in the Field of Specialty Pharmacy – 30%
Community Involvement – 25%
Quality/Performance Improvement Initiatives – 25%
Cost Management – 10%
Patient Satisfaction (as measured by the Specialty Pharmacy) – 10%

Award:

The Specialty Pharmacy of the Year Award will be presented at the NASP Opening General Session at the NASP Annual Meeting. The award itself will consist of a Crystal trophy, complimentary Annual Meeting registration at the following year’s meeting for 1 attendee and the opportunity for podium time at a suitable NASP Annual Meeting session.
Additionally, the winner will participate in all the benefits of recognition on the NASP website, as well as special bulletins that will be sent out announcing the finalists and the winner.
